So I Installed this Panasonic 58" Plasma for my wife's grandparents...

Just took the huge Toshiba 55" CRT RPTV out.

Attic - Directly above where I will be mounting the plasma. Here is where I will be drilling through the top plates to run wire.

Another shot of the wall from the attic. I have a lot of work to do up here before day time. Since it is almost summer, attic work at night is best.

Wall mount up.

As you can see, it is perfectly level. I replaced the small lag screws that came with the kit with beefier ones from home depot. And even after predrilling into the studs, I had one snap on me. So I had to drill into the mount and use one of the smaller ones that came with the kit. FOr good measure, I also installed five additional shet rock anchors.

Just a shot from back in the room

Some of the cable run

Where the new center channel will go.

The old center sat on the giant RPTV. Since the plasma will be almost flush to the wall, what batter solution than an in-wall center to go with the existing in-ceiling speakers?

And there it is

Shots of it installed.

The display was calibrated starting with CNET's settings and then further tweaking with JK's DVE.
